That's pretty funny. Once I chanced upon a grouse hen with her brood of chicks, and caught one of the chicks. Momma didn't like that, and came back at me to get her chick. I had the chick cupped between both hands, it was peeping away, momma was clucking and threatening me, but couldn't do much. I was teenager, much to big for her to harm me. After a few seconds I let the chick go, and she chased it over to the rest of the brood and we went our separate ways. My great uncle Paris had one like that when I was maybe 13 or 14. He called it "Little Joe". It lived down by our camp, he'd drive out and the bird would see his car and come running.
