Maybe. I found some procedure to clear the message that says how long it’s been since service and there are some hidden menus you can access. The GL does not, but the Duramax does. I would think with as high tech as the 164 is surely there is a way to pull up tranny temp. Do you have a tranny oil temp gauge in either of them? That's one way to keep from burning them up.
