Re: [MBZ] Tropical Storm Colin
All clear, all rubber tubes on passenger side attached to the sunroof drains. I've tried sealing off the sunroof with tape over all the seams and had no water entry, so I thought maybe I did have a sunroof drain that was clogging and I had opened it up without realizing that it was clogged. Apparently if leaves / dirt / etc go down the windshield gutter drains on either side of the windshield, they can get deposited between fender liner and body, and act like a sponge to encourage water to seep between body seams into the passenger compartment. I'm going to make some time later tonight to take a look. - Max Charleston SC On Tue, Jun 7, 2016 at 6:06 PM, Rick Knoble via Mercedes < mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > Sunroof drain(s)? > > Rick > Sent from my BlackBerry Z10 > ___ > http://www.okiebenz.com > > To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ > > To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: > http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com > > ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

:( The White Whale has water on the passenger floor board again . Next step will be pulling the fender liner and maybe the battery and battery tray. -- Max Dillon Charleston SC '87 300TD '95 E300 ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

We are still getting significant rain after the storm passed through. Driving in to work ties morning was pretty exciting. 9.5ft which puts us 2.1ft above the generally highest tide level (7.4ft). The storm actually passed offshore, the rain mostly stopped before the main part of the storm went past. But we got a lot of rain yesterday ahead of it. --JC On 6/6/16 10:12 PM, Andrew Strasfogel wrote: What's your elevation AMSL, "Rich"? We have had pretty significant rain most of the day, forecast is for it to pass over my vast estate late tonight/early morning. Main problem is that we will have very high tides tonight and tomorrow so Charleston will probably be fairly flooded and there will be beach erosion. No wind here now, will see if that picks up later. Tide was very high around noon, night tide is usually even higher, but there had not yet been too much rain. The City opened all the parking garages for residents to move their cars, last fall a good part of the city was under a fair amount of water in that storm. --R On 6/6/16 8:50 PM, archer75--- via Mercedes wrote: Tropical Storm Colin heading for Georgia and the Carolinas coast, and points north. 50 mph winds so far. http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2016/06/06/Emergency-declared-in-Florida-ahead-of-Tropical-Storm-Colin/7421465233982/?spt=hts=2 --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com -- --BB ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
