Maybe he'll secretly give me a price on that rusty 79 wagon, and I can use
the proceeds from the sale of the SDL to make that no longer his problem. ;)
He just redid the front suspension, should be a great deal.
Maybe we drag his wagon up on his trailer, drag your SDL back to my garage...
And MAYBE I will still be married once the dust settles!

The 79 TD looks rough but runs well and has been fairly reliable. Talk
to me.

Somehow I'd have to spin the deal as a money saver...

Sounds like someone wishing he had not bought the 85 after all and is not
willing to admit so. I remember when I actually thought the 85 was the
acme of Benz wagons. Now I just want the 85 torque converter for my 83 so
it will come off the line faster.

Maybe he secretly hopes I'll buy this and then buy his rusty '79 wagon, and
transplant that cars good engine into this one. Or maybe he's testing the
waters, considering that move himself?
I may be able to loan an engine lift to the project...

The motor does have a knock but is either bearings or maybe a wrist pin I
am not sure.
Car is hard to find not rusted out and original, beleive me it
That one has been advertised for months. Dented, starting to rust, needs new
engine. $2500 in his dreams! 85 as well, so really hard to replace the
engine, unique to that year. I would offer no more than a thousand.

It took Andrew a while to find an 85 wagon to pull the engine out of.
Nice that the seller of this one had the head rebuilt and new head
bolts, but if the valve guides aren't just right it probably would
have been better off left alone. And it's still got a bad bearing in
it...
