My step son has an old 1969 220d. It seems that he was jump starting the car by rolling it down a hill to start. Any way the part (don't know the terms) that connects the trans to the driveshaft is stripped as well as the splines that come out of the back of the transmission. Tailshaft in the tranny. Unlikely you can source the part - will probably have to find a replacement tranny. As for the drive shaft portion, good luck.. It's been a long time since I've been inside a transmission, but I know that in some domestic slush boxes the tailshaft can be serviced with the transmission in the car. Typically the tails haft or rear housing can be removed, exposing the part. What will determine this is how it connects to the rest of the transmission You might want to consider calling Sun Valley Transmissions and seeing if they might have the part, too.
