These Euro lights are pre-facelift so different from 94 / 95. The new lenses
were only about $30 each, but double that for shipping from Riga from the
Cars245 guys.

Good point.
The drive stub is longer than the bolt, right?
So if you can pull the whole axle, you should be able to lift the joint over
the bolt.

I've had good luck with using the correct size socket.
A slightly smaller (larger for external) one will fit and work, but if one bolt
is too tight, it will bugger the star up. Heading to HF later to get a new set,
myself.

always worked for me as long as I use the original
pliers. Seems the off brand ones don't always work. Had
that happen a few times and the bolts came loose with
subsequent use of the old

Amazon has two operating modes. Where Amazon itself
"IF" you have a wire feed welder, and IF you have access room to try this
trick, I've used it to great success for the "Impossible bolt removal"
Your mileage may vary, depending on how much access you have to make it all
work.
So:
Select a nut that will fit over the head of the bolt / screw
You might want to do a "Practice weld" of a nut and a bolt in a vice to get
a feel for welder heat setting and just how it works.
You will find the weld is nicely encapsulated inside the nut and contained
in the thread area, so you don't get splatter or sparks in surrounding
area... if you press
Heat is your friend when overcoming lock tite.

the 94/95 w124? If the glass is a rare or hard to source item, film would
give a modicum on protection.
Might also be buyer location, though now the state of washington is no longer
honoring purchasers from locals without sales taxes. Used to be you could show
your ID and the merchant would not collect tax. This year you pay the tax and
have to keep your sales papers so you can ask for a
