OK! Any word back from Title Max? I wonder if you could find out some way
to query "the system" to see if there is an outstanding lien that will
snarl you up, short of going to DMV. Maybe you know a bank officer that
could run the VIN to see if you could get a loan to "buy" the car, and they

I'm gonna call the TitleMax guy tomorrow and see if we can get this
sorted out from their end. I don't know who can check DMV though, cops
I guess but I don't know any cops. I don't know if a bank can or not.
I have a copy of an "eTitle" I got from TM which seems to be associated

I could bring them to Phoenix but it might be a few months.

Not to get too far into this but I have an om648 transplanted into a w123
wagon. The AC compressor is variable displacement fed by a pwm signal. It
is not hooked up for this reason.
Can anyone think of a way to interface that compressor to a regular
thermostat? No clutch involved.
An alternative
So you need a signal generator that varies the signal to call for more or less
cold from the compressor? Sounds like a raspberry pi project, with a simple
dial and maybe a display to show the signal (I'd make the display go from 1 to
11).

Looks like some interesting cars, all gassers.

I like the color. Interesting to see if the bids exceed $16,750 that didn't
meet the reserve price for the 300SE coupe.

With clear title, you should be able to order keys or tumbler through any
Mercedes dealers parts department. I had to ordered a new switch tumbler for
my 1995 E300D when it jammed and I couldn't install the key and turn to the
extraction position. Took a bit but completed the repairs and
