Vacuum advance on the distributor? A really easy performance enhancement on any of these engines is to go with a Bosch “009” distributor, which is 100% centrifugal advance. Much better curve and you eliminate the vacuum stuff, too. Dang, I can’t believe how much of this is starting to come back
