I grew up not far from a very large truck stop on the south side of 
Indianapolis.  There were a couple of “trailers” along the back edge of the 
parking lot, at which we would often throw rocks at until the residents would 
come out, yelling at us.

We referred to them as “lot lizards”.  Someone’s older brother coined the term 
for us.  Fortunately we were too young to understand why they were there and 
what they did….

I would have to plead guilty to that...just the part of knowing what they
look like...from when I worked at the northern border near a big truck stop.
I was incredulous (that someone would pay...or even come to within touching
distance) when some of the women who came through were identified by fellow
officers as truck stop prostitutes.

Who starts a high dollar resto-mod in this century, with a 1975 450SL/SLC
engine
OK, so the M113 was quite new, but there should have been plenty of wrecked M119
donor cars. 
If you want "modern amenities", why use a 25 year old engine from the worst days
of EPA regs outpacing engine technology?  
At least use a 560 SEL donor and get halfway decent engine management with
closed loop feedback control.
