The snowmobile club owns 2 Tucker SnoCats. We had one groomer operator leave at
the end of last year so I've moved from the ASV to the "Northern Tucker". This
gives me a longer distance run but in a more powerful, faster machine, so I
should still be out about the same amount of time.

Nor is any oil.  That's the purpose of using a detergent, like Dawn:
to bind to the oil on one side of the molecule, and to water on the other.
Sounds like the aromatic light fractions have soaked in to something.
No substitute for un-soaking them back out.

Ozone (O3) sends in free oxygen to bind with the whatever, chemically
changing it to something else.  (Said something else presumably not stinking.)
That extra oxygen is like a third wheel on a date: the other two (normal O2) are
looking to scrape it off anywhere they can; it doesn't last long.

Of course, it also binds to things you wish it didn't, as it attacks organic
material indiscriminately.  Usually the stinky things are more fragile, and
die first.  But, long-term, ozone is bad for skin, leather, rubber, plastics,
etc.

So, dosage!

Does anybody have magic for removing the Power Service smell? Somebody spilled
a bunch of Power Service behind the seat in the Tucker and the cab STINKS.
Makes me light headed.

A week ago I took all the assorted junk out of there and scrubbed it with
Simple Green. It smelled okay immediately after but the Power Service stink
came back pretty quick. Saturday I made up a packet of coffee grounds which I
hope will absorb some of it.

There was a roll of wrenches back there that was greasy with the stuff, I
brought it home and scrubbed it good with Dawn dish soap which helped a little
but less than I had expected. I'm thinking Power Service isn't water soluble. I
may go back and scrub with carb cleaner.

Another option for removing stubborn stains that evade Folex is a hydrogen
peroxide and baking soda slurry. Apply heavily and let sit overnight. Remove
and reapply until the stains are gone. I used this on an expensive white brooks
brothers dress shirt that I found in one of my rental properties. College kids
must have left it to sit in a puddle of beer and who knows what else for
months. It was so nasty that I was just going to toss it but it was my size! I
tried machine washing it but no improvement, then I tried spray and wash and
then back in the machine- basically nothing, I then tried oxyclean and back in
the machine- again nothing. Again I tried bleach and back in the machine-
basically nothing. I finally tried Folex and I was sure it would take care of
the stains-again nothing until I tried the hydrogen peroxide/ baking soda
slurry and after a few days it was all gone. Completely gone!
