We got it started once we got a good battery to put in it, it was spewing tranny fluid out the cooler, and no coolant, so did not drive it but it did move forward and backward before the fluid got too low. Ran OK otherwise. The guy at the yard put a new hood and fender on it from one he had in the yard so that is good. Needs a little alignment but saves having to source that. It's coming Monday, some guy is hauling it down here for me for $250 which is not a bad deal as it saves me the time, headache and gas to go up and back to fetch it. I made a youtuber! Let me know if it works. Salvage title. Didn’t ask about a carfax. Car looked fairly well maintained but who knows. The trans fluid was spewing out the cooler and was dark and kinda nasty so I’ll have to tend to that, will bypass the cooler and get some new fluid in it to be able to drive it a bit to move it around. He has a guy who can deliver it to me for not much more than I could do the haul. the guy had already replaced the hood and LF fender from a junker he had in the yard so that’s good. I saw the windshield was cracked too from the hood hitting it I guess so there’s that. We got it started and running and it moved although the fluids were spewing out from the smashed coolers. I put the scanner on it, nothing too significant, mostly stuff with the bad battery. I guess it will resolve. It’s quite nice other than the stuff smashed in the front. All the parts appear to be bolt-on, no frame stuff. So it will be a fun project for a big Benz. Yay me.
