You might want to look at that tranny then if you cant feel the shifts.
Soft shifts mean slipping which means wearing out the tranny. They
should be somewhat firm but not neck breaking firm.

damn, Im still kicking myself over that one. But, as I told you, the
only reason I let you have it is because I knew you were looking for
one, and you would actually appreciate it. And, you are keeping your
eyes open for other deals for me.

Rick,
I doubt you will live to regret buying a W124 300D 2.5t. Mine is one of
the finest cars I have driven in the past 4+ year. I drive mine between
80 and 85+ miles an hour on the interstate and still get 31 mpg-great
handling car as well.
Good luck and enjoy.
Dwight
PS-maybe you should sell me your 300CD so it will make you feel better
about this purchase.

You're contemplating buying one of the best (if not the best) E-class sedans
made. Feel proud. I own one and haven't regretted it for a minute.
Cruises at 80-85 without complaint (except from the police), rock solid
handling, and no * computer. Fit it with sheepskins and roll.

Might you want to sell me that 190D or the 300CD?

That's ok, I'm soon to be in posession of another diesel Benz. A parts car
that I'll drive home.. Then maybe another 300CD.
