Yeah, I thought the international oil market must be mad at Tampa since our
price up here in the boonies, 90 miles from Tpa, is only $3.33 for gas.

How is your body (neck, shoulder, etc) holding up? Hope you're not in too much
pain.
The huge fuel tank and decent mileage give me a range of about 600 miles around
town, 650+ on the highway.
I think you'll find many interested buyers if you part out your car. Engine,
right front fender,
Nice, town or highway?

Geez, I had this all screwed up. Let's start over:
I paid $3.469 for premium at Sam's on Thursday.
Diesel is still close to $4/gallon here, like in the $3.80-$3.90 a gallon range.
Hopefully that makes sense.

Roughly the same size tank. The 450 is city driving in the diesel. I get
around 660 hwy per tank E to E. City hardly ever gets to E before I dump more
in. Might be 0.20 of a tank.

Right now I am considering having the thing towed back home and sitting on it.

Highway - much longer than I can sit ---
We get from 44 to 53 mpg on the highway. the car seems to be sensitive to
air drag - down wind at slower speeds (60 - 65) gets the 53. Intown it's
more around 38MPG or so.

I have noticed that diesel doesn't seem to be coming down like gas. It's still
close to $4/gallon around here while I paid $4.45/gallon for premium at Sam's

So diesel is less than premium in your part of Florida?
Yep, sorta upsetting to hafta pay $4 for a gallon of ten-cent fuel. ;)

Now that we use ULSD, which is also used in other countries/regions, the price
is set on the global market, not by the US market.

just to make sure we're not comparing Apple to Oranges, what're the
sizes of the tanks we're talking about?
450 miles in a tank that holds 22.8 gal (or more) like the one
