So my fix-it guy says the digital encoders used on the older Beckers are NLA. But - he says he uses the same one that’s used on later model radios common to the W210, which would be the 3303, 3306 and others. He said it’s backwards compatible. So I guess you’ll need to tear a later model

No, unless you locate a source for the digital encoder they use. I know a guy that replaces them for something like $60 if you send him the whole faceplate. I’ll ask him if he can give me the part number and a source. Got any decent knobs? Looks like they are mistaking them for being gold
