No affiliation, but I looked at a beautiful 1984 300CD turbo last week.
She's in Columbus OH.  Orient Red with palomino leather interior.  2 owners
(1 family), almost zero rust, complete records, 285Kmi.  Non-smoker.  A/C is
R12 and needs new hoses.  Antenna mast doesn't work.  Driver seat may need
new springs.  Hauls ass.

Speaking of belts, how long should they last roughly either in miles or years.  
What is a good rule of thumb ?

Jeez, you should have bought him the 700 dollar SDL.  It could have been 
made decent with some labor, a welder and a few parts.
