Re: [MBZ] Junkyard score

2014-07-20 Thread Meade Dillon via Mercedes
Larry,

Thanks for the offer! I'd like to get a nice 124 steering wheel (doesn't
matter year or model) black or blue color.

Blue sun visors, rear view mirror, and tail gate trim from a 124 wagon
(early year, no chrome)

I have to ask - what did all of this cost? I just wondered as I haven't gotten
stuff from a PP in ages.

 Next, I took from a '93 300TE:
 -Tandem power steering pump

Great fun! I also found a few bits for my wife's Infiniti.

The down side was I missed a meeting with Tim Crone. Sorry Tim! Please

Wow, that was a real moral dilemma. Happens to me all the time and I
usually guess wrong.

What did all this loot cost you, Meade?

Just out of curiosity, how much did all this cost you?

I am so out of the PP thing I wonder what they charge for stuff these days.
Used to be pennies on the dollar, especially if you did the pulling...

Hi Max --
I plan to keep an eye on these yards and will be happy to watch for
stuff you need - I assume 87-ish 300D and mid 91-94 300TE (I'm just
guessing)? My health dictates when I can get in and pull the stuff
unfortunately. The good thing is these yards seems to cycle through a
lot of cars. The downside is they only keep a car for 30 days before
sending them to the scrap yard.So ya gotta get what you want quick
or it'll be gone - not by another car-nut but the scrapper! Really
irritated me when I went back to get some stuff off a 91 300D just like
mine only to find it gone. Bummer...
