I found another application for ShooGoo - the badge on the shifter of the
wife’s SL500 came loose and has been rattling around in the ash tray, just
waiting to be lost.
I put a thin layer of SG on the back of the badge and he recess in the shifter,

Is it available at Lowes?
Most hardware stores seem to have it.
It's a glue, like all glues clean and dry is vital. Don't
over-apply, it'll ooze out. You might need to put weight
on it (sack of beans?) to make sure it's clamped a bit.
