Hi List. I first want to wish all of you and your families a safe and Happy
Holidays. The reason I am writing is that I am considering starting in
January 2012 a small area on my Website called Treasure of the Month

Hi all,
I am planning a 2 week vacation to Sedona Arizona in January and I was
wondering if anyone would be willing to share some leads on prospective
hunting sites in the area.
Thanks,

I thought I should share this with the meteorite community. May the new year

grams that was shipped December 5th. from Las Vegas by second day air

Wow, sorry to hear that. On a positive note, my 62 gram Cat Mountain
end cut just went up in value : )
I'm only kidding
If it makes you feel better this seems to happen every year in

Hi Count,
That really stinks - to put it poetically. ;)
It also reinforces my belief that UPS blows. I had numerous problems
with them in the past and their customer service is horrible. I'd
rather burn a package than give it to them. I haven't used UPS in
about 5 years now and I will never
I love Ruben...he's a funny guy. But, its
true. His Cat Mountain did just go up in value.

Thanks, Don...it is the Holiday Season rush and I'm hoping this has something
to do with it. But, they don't show it scanned into the first terminal off the
truck. I have been using this UPS franchised storefront for over ten years
without a burp... and now this... far and away my most valuable
Hi, All,
An added note of advice, I always wondered why Adam Hupe' shipped tiny,
sometimes almost weightless, pieces of meteorite in a relatively huge
3 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 6 box, until I heard similar stories like this in the past
and it dawned on me.
An box this size is not easily
I also sent a some things using the US postal service by pirority mail that I

I sell my meteorites to customers. The main reason as you said was size and

Sorry about my grammar errors last email. I'm very tired and going to bed.

Was this intentional, Adam, and has it proven beneficial, in your experience?
Yes, I intentionally use larger boxes for many reasons. Padded envelopes do
Hi Pete and List,
I will never use UPS again. U.S. Mail Registered is probably the way to go. My
package was an approx. 4 by 6 by 8 cardboard box inside a full sized UPS
vinyl envelope. I declared it a mineral specimen. Fed Ex over night envelope
would be good for ts's and slices. I haven't
Very sorry to hear about the missing package. I'm not sure what carrier can be
trusted anymore. I recently had to bite my nails for a full month waiting for
an airmail package to arrive from Germanyso USPS isn't looking very
reliable. I've never personally had a problem with FedEx, but
Greetings,
For Sale 161 gram Cat Mountain and 1 +/- gram specimens.
Seriously UPS is the most expensive way I have found to ship and I
avoid it. Fed-X is cheaper but I prefer USPS when items are small
enough to ship that way.
