I'm in the process of reorganizing my collection with the aim of

I'd put together a small collection of planetaries and other rare

Hi Mike, listers
I just looked at some of your interesting ambar, as I happen to have a
resiny spot in my fossilized heart for the stuff, too. Ambar is a
difficult subject for casual enthusiasts. So I just wanted to add a
couple of tips while you have your ambar for meteorites swap going

You guys should show some respect - the lady you are talking about has been
exposed to ridicule quite enough when she was alive.
This is a story that more or less happened just recently. Her ex husband Eugene
died in January.
Btw. she neither had children nor grandchildren.

Not sure if anyone saw my posting yesterday on this. There was no

Hi Gang,
It was just a little April Fools fun. I'm sure Anne Hodge was a very
nice person. It was 58 years ago. Too soon? ;)
Besides, the specimen has been sold and I am going to Tahiti for a while.

Hi Doug,
My amber collection come primarily from an old collection that
pre-dates the 1960s. The source I get it from is a long-time partner
that I trust more than 50% of the meteorite people I know. What's
more, several pieces and lots have sold to universities for amber

Hi, Mike, Doug, and All,
It seems that an attraction to meteorites draws a crowd that just likes a
variety of old stuff.
I, too, am fascinated by amber!
Being of Lithuanian heritage, I have a lot at my disposal for examination.

This is all starting to go off the topic of meteorites but I'll jump

1) Most baltic amber in rough/unpolished form is natural, they
literally find tons of it every year, no need to reconstitute into
larger pieces. Lots

Mr Deiro,
I have restrained from responding to this thread until now. Your comments on
this subject are deplorable and far more egregiously derogatory to Ann Hodges
