Hi all,
I have finally had some free time to be able to finish my write up and
process the photos of a recent visit to the NHM London and the Royal
society. We had a great day and saw some amazing specimens. Please see

Hi Richard,
There's a spelling error in your link -- should be:

That said, the fall location was not near Mariposa, and since the
infrasound
coordinates were based on only two ground sites, I wouldn't place too
much

I posted a short synopsis of radar data on the California daylight
fireball. I believe it produced a strewn field stretching west from the
town of Coloma, CA:

Have you ever watched any old war movies? Fighter pilots attack from the
direction of the Sun. This was a daytime fireball and so probably came in
from the sunward side, so not easy to detect.

Stuart, List,
The size of a mini-van suggests an asteroid
with a radius of 3 meters (if spherical). I wouln't
call a six-meter asteroid huge.
Further, if it was indeed carbonaceous, it would
likely be quite dark and have a low albedo, making
its detection even more difficult.
It may have been
OK, cool. Thanks for the insight. The thought just crossed my mind. I am

Amazing! Robert, if you're inclined, please contact meI spent the day
3 miles north-west of Coloma...steep, tall 12-30 grasses when the terrain
allows. I live an hour away and could spend days searching...and probably
will. We should team up.

Hi List and Robert,
Congratulations to Robert Ward on recovering another meteorite fall,

With Ward and crew on the job, we can assume the strewnfield will be
mapped out and scientific protocol will be followed during the
recovery.

Greetings all,
Congrats on the find Robert. Wondering what the price will be on this
material. If new falls of ordinary chondrites are going for over
$100/gram, a CM should go for 5 to 10 times more. Hopefully there will
be a great amount of material found and the price will be affordable to
