OK, the termite threadlet raised a morbid question in my mind. What would it be worth to be struck by a meteorite? Would you want to be struck indirectly like Elizabeth Hodges was in Alabama, or directly. How much injury sustained would be worth it to you? I know some of you wouldn't mind

The young lad who was struck by in a piece of the Mbale fall is nameless and unknown. Mrs Hodges was involved in a court case which may have helped (or possibly didn't help her). Also, sort of depends where on f this planet you happen to reside. Would also depend where you were standing at

Personally, I'd prefer to be hit in the head by a small meteorite fragment, which lodges in my brain and permits me to perform miracles -- which is what I seem to recall happened to George McWhirter Fotheringay in the 1936 UK film The Man Who Could Work Miracles, based on an H. G. Wells short
