many subjects.

My regret is deep.

Re: [meteorite-list] [IMCA] Scam Artist - Joel Samson - FakeLunar Meteorites

2011-05-13 Thread siegfr...@haberer-meteorite.de

Hello List,

Thank you for calling my attention to potential dubieties about a lunar
meteorite offered by Joel Samson.

The depicted meteorite Joel Samson posted on Facebook which is held between two
fingers on the photo is definitely an authentic piece of the lunar meteorite Dho
908. It is one of our own photographs but we never gave it to him. So we do not
know how he got hold of the photo and we did not give him the authorization to
use it either.

We don’t know whether the specimen he offers for sale is identical with the
photo or not.

What we do know is that Joel Samson is in possession of material which has a
distant similarity with Dho 908. As the material presumably is not meteoritic he
was asked several times by competent side to have the specimens examined
scientifically. To our knowledge he did not follow this advice. In case of
doubts about the authenticity of a specimen offered as a Dho 908 we can offer
support with the identification.

With very best regards

[meteorite-list] Almahata Sitta Meteorite

2011-02-19 Thread siegfr...@haberer-meteorite.de

Dear list members,

We are happy to let you know that we can offer few small specimens of Almahata
Sitta MS-CH for sale. MS-CH is a Chondrite classified as unique with a total
mass of only 5.68g. Most of the material is in the hands of science. A
scientific paper of 11 pages by Prof Dr Addi Bischoff and his team of scientists
has been exclusively dedicated to MS-CH in the special edition of “Meteoritics
Planetary Science” which was published in January 2011. The whole edition
comprises different research papers on the Almahata Sitta fall from Asteroid
2008 TC3.

At present, a fragment of MS-CH, various other Almhata Sitta specimens, as well
as different lunar meteorites are being auctioned on Ebay
(haberer-meteorite_de).

We would like to point out that the examination results published in the above
mentioned special edition of “Meteoritics Planetary Science” are mainly based
on samples from material which was obtained from us. Some of these pieces are
being offered for sale on our website.

With best collector regards

[meteorite-list] Almahata Sitta Meteorite

2010-11-30 Thread siegfr...@haberer-meteorite.de
 Hi List,

The spectacular news about the “freight” of Asteroid 2008 TC3 is that it already
came up with more than 40 different classifications by now.

This will be the main subject of a scientific paper that is going to be
published in a special edition of Meteoritics Planetary Science exclusively
about the Almahata Sitta meteorite at the beginning of next year.

In case of any questions, please contact me.

Best regards

[meteorite-list] NEWS: Almahata Sitta meteorite

2010-05-28 Thread siegfr...@haberer-meteorite.de

Dear collector friends,

Unique! The Almahata Sitta fall surprised us not only with the circumstances of
the fall but also with a multiplicity of different meteorite classes and various
lithologies.

Among the material is the MS-CH which is a chondrite that has been classified as
“unique”. Besides, the age determination for the MS-CH proved that the
chondritic findings are also part of the mainly ureilitic Almahata Sitta fall.
Although most of this rare meteorite MS-CH with a total weight of only 5.68g
understandably has been placed at the disposal of science we can offer some
smaller fragments of it.

If you are interested in the above mentioned meteorite or other recently cut
slices of different individuals of Almahata Sitta please have a look at our
website:

www.haberer-meteorite.de

We can offer slices and fragments of the following Almahata Sitta meteorites:

Almahata Sitta Coarse-grained Ureilite: MS-169, MS-170

Almahata Sitta Fine-grained Ureilite: MS-165, MS-152, MS-168

Almahata Sitta Chondritic lithologies: MS-150 EL6, MS-11 H 5/6, MS-159 E5/6,
MS-11, MS-174, MS-CH

Best regards
