And I am not.
Hello Cj,
I agree with your analysis of these different points.
I think the market is old enough to start to fix new
rules on the prices of meteorites.
I don't know the world of coins, tokens, cards but I
know the world of stamps.
Prices are based on many parameters (tkw or available

Hello Bernhard,
In fact, it's the same problem with collectibles as
stamps. There are recommended prices but each seller
can make its own price. Prices are only indicative.
For spectacular meteorites, the buyer will be ready to
pay an extra price for it.
That's not regulation, that's only
Hello Bern and List,
A Price Guide is exactly what it says, a guide. This does not set the
Value at any particular price but it does give you a base to start out.
Perhaps a better Guide would be a price guide for classsifications. Just
to give a base price.
Other factors would come into play

And now please tell me why on earth this market needs control?
And who will be the one in control? Why artificially give power to one
ore a group of people?
What would be wrong with the meteorite market as it is? Tell me.
Nah.
Hi Adam, List,
I see a substantial problem with the approval of likely or possible paired
material:
With the desert rush we just don't have the lab capacities to make analyses
of each paired stone.
For instance here in Germany we have perhaps five or six places, where
classification can be done
So, Adam, could you please help us in providing a list of labs, which
are
willing to classify most probably paired material
or may the collectors send you samples for classification of
questionable
stones, which are said to be likely paired with your NWA numbers - that
would be the easiest way, as
I'm certainly not saying the meteorite market should be controlled, I was
just saying it would be handy to have a base price to start out with.

Three things to think about:
1) Until the labs start increasing their throughput, it will be necessary
to make informed guesses.
A rose, by any other name, is still a rose.
2) Did naming irregularities cause the fall in meteorite prices? How about
