That is a damn shame. We will certainly keep our eyes open for these
specimens and will report the thieves if they try to contact us.
This is what happens when the world is told that meteorites are worth
big money. I have definitely noticed a distinct uptick in meteorite
thefts in the last year
That is aweful. John, can you include specific individual weights? This
would help ID any that surface.

One can't just walk into a pawn shop and sell these. So there is a
good chance that the stolen mets will end up on eBay or will be
offered to someone in the meteorite community - just like the thief
who stole the Big Kahuna's meteorites a few months back. These
thieves don't realize how small

seeing these meteorites in person! The owner of PARI and the people

Here are a two pictures of the PARI
Thank you John for that list, and thank you Mike for the pictures.
The Tucson Show is only a month away and some of those pieces might
very well re-surface there as it is quite common when you have a
show-room to see people come in and offer to sell you some meteorites.
I believe we should

I want to thank everyone for their comments, concerns and suggestions
about the stolen meteorites. As I can put together more information I
will post it. There are additional specimens that were taken. Some of
them are shown in the pictures that Mike Hankey linked to from his
visit at PARI. If I

Was the dealer robbed, anyone we know?
I know Blaine Reed stays at a Ramada Inn. Hope it wasn't him.

It was a mineral dealer on the back of the Ramada Limited, not
associated with meteorites. No one was hurt, which is the good thing.

Interesting theory. To test it I just responded to
your posting with a nonsense word at the end of the
subject line that would not be recogonized by a
