Let me expand on that.

I'm really looking forward to the SG-API becoming useful, but right now
it's pretty flaky. There's a lot of pages you'd expect to be in there
that aren't and the result you get back aren't what you'd expect.
SG-API
?

-1 from me, PHP5 is approaching 4 years old and PHP6 is just around
the corner
it besides the point? Which is the lack of
a PHP library of whatever flavour for parsing out XFN and other uFs.

Tastes Like Milk
is
DomDocumentloadHtml($html) which is effectively doing the same thing.
It would be interesting to do some interop testing and see just how bad
a web page has to be before the uF starts getting missed.
And a uF validator would come in handy there.

that an Acquaintance is
also a Contact? And if it's the second is there some mapping table on a
wiki somewhere?

And just as I was about to post sample code as well. ;)

is a necessary bit of evangelism, since a markup language
needs consumers to have value. So that does feel on topic here. But I
take the point that it can quickly slip into technical issues, as has
happened.

I want to be able to say something like:-
This person with this profile page URL and this mbox_sha1sum is one of
my contacts.
But I'm not sure how to do it in XFN. Where can I put mbox_sha1sum into
a href=url rel=contacttheir name/a

Julian Bond EMSN: julian_bond at voidstar.com M: +44 (0
span class=mbox_sha1sum:fc521285feac8d1de0a488166aeeb9dbf99070e1
a href=url rel=contacttheir name/a
span
Ugh!
This looks like a generic problem. How to qualify an XFN entry with
additional non-visible information.

Ah. Additional. In my earlier message I was assuming that you did not
know (or want to show) an HTTP URL
Is the dev list working correctly? A couple of posts have made it into
the archive but I don't think they ever turned up as email.
Do we actually need two lists?
