For a true no moving parts passive cooling system, you're out of luck
with the desktop
I do have a Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 which doesn't have a fan, I have
successfully run -current on it.
If you want something more modern, but a bit smaller, the CF-19 may be
a good choice. It is a bit small though.

Yes, link-locals are expected for this.

Yes -- libressl may do what you want. Read man openssl(1) and skim
down to the section entitled "ENC" and the subsequent sections
including examples. It's well written.
Hello,
I have a problem with screen brightness on an Acer Aspire ES1-411,
I can change the brightness value with wsconsctl and it doesn't return
an error,
but the brightness is still high like at 100%.
$ wsconsctl display.brightness
display.brightness=100.00%
$ wsconsctl display.brightness=0
I have the problem on OpenBSD 5.9 and current.
Has anyone tried to install OpenBSD on a Toshiba Chromebook 2? And was able
to boot it without having to hold Ctrl+L, which I heard was a thing with
SeaBIOS?
One person was able to install Windows 10 onto one and not have to hold
down Ctrl+L whenever
Otherwise I have a lot of work and learning
OK,
I've upgraded from 5.8 to 5.9, I'm now getting routes, but they point to a
link-local address and it won't route past that address. Is a link local
address a usual default gateway?
Thanks,

Hi,
One of the virtual hosting services I'm using requires the use of router
detection under IPv6 to get the valid default routes. Since 5.7 removed
rtsol I can't figure out how to get this to look. My interface configuration
is pretty simple:
/etc/hostname.vio0:
dhcp

If not, is there anything that comes close (and how much can I not afford
it)?
Fore the benefit of people searching the mailing list archives for
answers
to similar questions, please only ask ONE question with an
appropriate Subject. You are also much more likely for some one
to respond with an actual answer. The way you are currently
asking, I doubt you will get much help.

Yes, n2830 works now (it didn't in 5.9), so this n2840 is likely to work too.

The typewriter I am using now has 64 MB Ram and a normal installation
of OpenBSD 4.8. I suspect also a normal
Hi guys!
I am currently thinking of buying a new MacBook Air and setting up a dual-boot
OpenBSD + MacOSX. Reading the mailing-list, I understood that OpenBSD is mostly
working well on Mac hardware, but I still have some questions:
