I am sure this wouldn't cover the time needed to make this happened by
far and it may not be possible or easy for sure, I realize that. But if
any developer(s) may have the interest and possibly the time to do so

Just a fyi, but similar form factor android based devices are coming
out later this year, with usb, etc. That might be a better/cheaper
target.
Been playing with one, it is cool. But we're not the target audience for it.
