ESXi client / NFS server performance

Greetings, I'm attempting to use an OBSD 4.8-stable machine as an NFS server for storing snapshots from an ESXi 3.5 server. Unfortunately my NFS performance seems relatively poor at about 55 Mbps (6 MBps). Both machines are linked up at 1 Gbps via an HP ProCurve 1850G and I'm writing to wd0.
