Perhaps it's unrelated to your problem, but you could try forcing your
SATA controller into AHCI mode.. maybe you'll see your drive then.

Hi, I've got this new Dell Studio 1558 that is not entirely supported right now. One of the problems I have is the audio. It seems to be handled right, but I can't hear a thing, I tried some combination with mixerctl to no avail. Any ideas? pkg_add/pkg_delete
Dobrij den , citizens of this ship. While upgrading/updating my 3.6-old box to 4.6 I noticed some issues. Here it comes: I want -F force-flag for pkg_delete - I know what I'm dealing with and I don't want to spend my evening in front of a laptop-screen with my bottle of Stolichnaya. I want to finish it and go to the club, not sitting and rm -rf /all/that/crap/pkg_delete/could/not/fix. I want to overwrite files. I want pkg-tools to be able to remove all the crap I DON'T WANT TO REMOVE MANUALLY. Upgrade process for OpenBSD base is great! I wish it was the same for pkges. Each time I have to upgrade I hope pkg-tools got more intelligent, but not. -F-flag is for force - give me force to remove and overwrite everything! Sure, with swapped order too. No luck. rm -rf made me happy, but then rm -rf /all/that/crap/which/is/left If it works - don't touch it is applicable to OpenBSD. But then it is time - pain comes back. Sounds like you should find a machine you can run on -current and give espie some feedback on his changes. pkg_add now reads your mind and handles loops and cascading dependencies automatically. pkg_delete appears to still have some issues, but perhaps there's time before release to get those ironed out...
