TP X32 resume fails under 5.0-Release
Hi there, i've installed 5.0-Release on TP X32 Pentium M 1,7 Ghz. Works fine, suspend works via apm (after starting apmd), but resume fails. Under X and on the console, the screen comes back, cursor is blinking an that's it. Pressing ON/OFF forces a quick reaction and simply powers down. The latest release i worked with was 4.6. Has this possibly something to to with the encrypted softraid0 in combination with the CF card ??? Then it was fine for iwi to load. > I installed with the package tools. The good news: it's working now with DHCP. The bad news: I didn't make notes, so I don't remember exactly what MADE it work. I spent a bit of time running ifconfig iwn0 scan (and getting frustrated) both with and without debug. What made it work may have been specifying dhcp, because the other bad news is that assigning a fixed IPv4 address still does not work: ifconfig will report the address as bound to the interface, but the router shows the connection as being at 0.0.0.0. Works OK to get to things on my own subnet, but not so well otherwise. Failing hostname.iwn0 (sanitized) below signature. This hostname.iwn0 was generated using ifconfig commands. -- Edward Ahlsen-Girard Ft Walton Beach, FL nwid *** wpakey inet 192.168.0.235 255.255.255.0 NONE
-current OpenSMTPD enqueuer, lynx, luxury-part-deux.html
Hello, following a link recently posted here, I noticed that the page http://catb.org/~esr/writings/luxury-part-deux.html opened with lynx(1) cannot be sent (``printed'') as e-mail. Opening web pages with lynx and sending them to myself is a standard procedure for me and - as far as I remember - never failed and does not fail on me for any other web page I have tried. While trying to avoid the problem I saved the page (lynx: ``print'', ``save to a local file'') and piped it to mail(1) with the same results. Appending the lynx(1) dump of the page to this message makes it fail as well (using mutt(1)). Error seen within lynx(1)/mail(1)/mutt(1): ``sendmail: ferror: 1'' Error seen in smtpd logs: ``smtpd[4122]: a53d8814: from=, relay=1000@localhost [IPv6:::1], stat=LocalError (500 5.0.0 Pipelining not supported)'' Can anyone reproduce? Help on avoiding it? Increase the limits in login.conf for the relevant login class; you'll need to logout and back in for them to take effect. You've hit both datasize and openfiles limits. fatal page fault with atheros ar9300
Hi, I'm trying OpenBSD for the first time, and have experienced issues getting the installer to boot on my netbook. My netbook is a Toshiba NB500 (part number PLL50A-00M00D) with an Intel Atom N550 CPU. As it has no CD drive, I used PXE with the following two files: 5.0/amd64/pxeboot 5.0/amd64/bsd.rd When booting the installer, I got a panic. The output visible on my screen at the time of panic is as follows: START OUTPUT acpiprt3 at acpi0: bus 9 (EXP3) acpiprt4 at acpi0: bus -1 (EXP4) acpiprt5 at acpi0: bus 17 (PCIB) pci0 at mainbus0 bus 0 bridge mem address conflict 0xf050/0x10 pchb0 at pci0 dev 0 function 0 "Intel Pineview DMI" rev 0x02 vga1 at pci0 dev 2 function 0 "Intel Pineview Video" rev 0x02 wsdisplay0 at vga1 mux 1: console (80x25, vt100 emulation) "Intel Pineview Video" rev 0x02 at pci0 dev 2 function 1 not configured "Intel 82801GB HD Audio" rev 0x02 at pci0 dev 27 function 0 not configured ppb0 at pci0 dev 28 function 0 "Intel 82801GB PCIE" rev 0x02: msi pci1 at ppb0 bus 5 ppb1 at pci0 dev 28 function 1 "Intel 82801GB PCIE" rev 0x02: msi pci2 at ppb1 bus 7 athn0 at pci2 dev 0 function 0 "Atheros AR9300" rev 0x01: apic 4 int 17 uvm_fault(0x80bc1970, 0x0, 0, 1) -> e fatal page fault in supervisor mode trap type 6 code 0 rip 8017dfd5 cs 8 rflags 10286 cr2 0 cpl e rsp 80bf5890 panic: trap type 6, code=0, pc=8017dfd5 The operating system has halted.
