If you were to keep the original dtb name you would have to do something like setenv fdtfile allwinner/sun50i-a64-sopine-baseboard.dtb saveenv boot Until such time that the U-Boot patch series for it gets merged/released: https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/885574/

At the installer prompt, I incorrectly selected upgrade to take a shortcut. Now thinking about it, openBSD wasn't installed so it didn't know the partition layout.
