Josh, I don't recall, as it was a while ago. I had read somewhere that upgrading the bios solved the problem of a fan running continuously on the X1 5G. I was running Arch Linux at the time, but at some point I intend to put OpenBSD on this laptop. I'll see what happens. Dave On 11/4/19,
