Fedora is the development branch for Redhat hence it is inherently somewhat unstable and it changes quickly. I have been using it off on since it was redhat off and on updates will break it. This is to be expected of a development branch. If you want stability in this stream you should use

Actually /bin/sh depends on the distro / implementation. On most it is a link to the intended dominant shell. On Ubuntu - dash on debian -bash on fedora/redhat/centos - bash. It is always best to use the interpreter designator to directly invoke the intended interpreter for your script.
