Perhaps there’s some leftover from a previous install. Can you uninstall
Mnemosyne, delete /sdcard/Mnemosyne and then reinstall it from Google Play?

it was 1.3.5 for the app and 2.4.1 on the PC.
But anyway at the moment no app on the phone (see posting above) and
installation (both ways) cannot be finished ...

of old logs no longer happens automatically there, it is a menu option you have
to activate manually…

Phone-app wanted to archive old logs. Then nothing viewable for the next
hour (except wait-cursor and message "archiving old logs"). Copied database
to PC, comprimise, copied to the phone again -- just the same. Tried to
