The website says you can choose to study specific sets at a time, but I
can't figure out how to do this. I can browse through certain sets, but
don't know how to target studying one at a time, e.g. language, or
geography, etc.

Thanks! Then you can reactivate them? Does it take them out of cycle so you
have to start over?

I wanted to check if my backup was working so I installed Mnemosyne on a
different matching and imported my backup. Everything seemed to work right,
except I had no pictures.

I just followed the route given on the website and copied my entire
mnemosyne folder over. That had in it archive, backups, default.db_media,
history, plugins and then some other things like config, etc. I am not very
computer savvy, so maybe when I transferred it over, I missed something.
Perfect, thanks. It worked.

Apologies if this has already been asked, but I could not find it on here.
I can't seem to increase the font size for Arabic for my vocabulary
flashcards. It does warn me of this in the settings: "this setting will be
overridden in card types cloned from vocabulary," but I wonder if there is

I have tried this and it works with non-sharp/flat files, but when I upload
those with sharps and flats, it does not sound, and says, "file name

work-arounds?

I am afraid I am too novice to know how to start "with a command line." I
have been trying to find out how to do this online, but can't seem to. Can
anyone either give instructions or direct me to a website that explains
this?

I would love to see an update that allows you to temporarily skip a card.
If I am reviewing a number of cards and get a difficult one, if I could
skip it and do a few cards and then see it again mixed in a random order, I
could probably recall it. What I do now in such cases is to close and

I see that I can change the color of different types of cards, but can I
change background color for different tags? For example, I have vocabulary
cards for several different languages, and I want each to be a separate
background color, so I know, when the English comes up, which language I am
Will try. Thanks!

Is there a way to type Hindi numerals in Mnemosyne? For Word, if you have
Arabic keyboard installed, you just choose "context" for numerals in
advanced settings and you get the Indic numerals.

I just tried to install this, but it would not seem to run either in Chrome

Yes, when I click to download, it shows as .exe in my browser. Then, when
it is done, I click it, and the click run, but nothing happens after that,
and there also seems to be no trace of the file in the folder it was
downloaded to.

Okay, just did all that, and when I chose "show in folder" it did bring up
my folder where it looked like it was downloaded. I then chose run, and the
same thing happened. Then, I went back to that same folder, but it had
disappeared again.

Ah, I think I see what's happening here. When I did that, I got a message
from Symantec, saying the file posed a risk. I cannot download it now, but
I think I will be able to take it into our university tech office and ask
them to circumvent it. Thanks for the help!

When I try to sync, my server crashes as it is "getting log entries." It
then says "Mnemosyne.exe has stopped working," and I am forced to close the
program. Meanwhile, the client stalls at "getting log entries," but stays
running.

Is there a way to export cards with algorithm intact from Mnemosyne to
Supermemo (or other SM-based algorithms)? Something like this is possible
from Buboflash to Supermemo; I imported some cards and they kept their same
schedule.
By the way, after using Mnemosyne for about 1.5 years, I find
I just got a new computer with Windows 10 (had been using Windows 7 up
until now). At the same time, I also installed 2.6.1, which I had not
bothered to do yet. Now, sometimes my cards don't show the answer when I
press the space bar, and it seems, sometimes I am being shown the wrong
card.
Thanks. The edit card seems to be the current card that should be coming up
in the review process, while the card showing in the box is the previous
card that will not change. In other words, I answer a question, then press
enter or click on the space bar to see the answer, but it never shows
