Hi,
Please do check out KNFb Reader for Android on the Playstore and its
app description will resolve many of your queries.
Anyways, in the demonstration period, you aren't constrained by time
or feature set, but what does differentiate it from the full version
is that you can only take 25 pictures during the trials. On the
completion of 25 pictures, you will need to purchase the full version
priced at Rs. 6,200.
Thanks.

When the KNFBReader app first starts up, you will be in the Image
Capture screen with Talkback focus on the Take Picture button. With
the screen of the device facing up, place your Android device down
with the camera in the center of the document with the device in the
same orientation as the document--portrait orientation is
recommended--and lift the device straight up to an appropriate
distance.
Held in this position, the camera is on the underside of the device.
the view of the document.
To take a picture touch the left side of the screen, and Talkback
should say: “take picture.” Then you can gently double tap anywhere on
the left-hand side of the screen and the camera will respond with the
distinctive sound of the shutter.
For best results, to avoid jiggling the phone while the picture is
taken, try using a one finger with a double tap and hold gesture, then
lift your finger to activate the camera. Hold the device steady until
you hear the camera shutter sound.
As soon as the camera snaps the picture, the image is processed
automatically to recognize the text. If any is found, the text is
displayed automatically and read aloud as the Text Navigation screen
opens.
hope that helps.

Re: [Mobile.AI] knfb reader for android?

2015-10-17 Thread Bhavya shah
Hi,
Considering the massive popularity KNFB Reader quickly gathered on the
iOS platform, this perhaps is the best mobile OCR app...
I have also heard that it provides voice guidance to the user so that
the page is covered completely and legibly.
One always has the free initial 25 pictures to check the functionality
of this app.
Thanks.
