My problem has been with getting http and https running at the same time. I thought
that installing :80 and
:443 for each virtual host would do it. But it isn;t working.
An ISP I know is running two daemons. One for port 80 and the https daemon for port
443. I'm sure this would
work for me. I

now. It's like a miracle!

Don't know what your problem could be but the most obvious answer, is that you are
either missing a lot of config
lines for SSL - i.e. you're using your old non-SSL config file - or you do mot have a
line in your config file to
listen to port 443 - Listen 443 - failing that you could post y

That's only part of the setup. Apache will quite happily listen on port
443 if you ask it to,
