[Moin-user] Debian wheezy: problem installing moin moin

2014-02-15 Thread Renato

Hi,
as on my previous mail, I do not went forward :-(
I'm still blocked on the installation.

My step ahead, it' s about one idea about my prob. I think my prob is
the apache conf.
I mean: the moin moin installation, seems to be went ok, but, on the
step where I add the wiki on my apache with command:
a2ensite /etc/apache2/sites-available/wikiI receive the error: ERROR:
No site found matching /etc/apache2/sites-available/wiki!

. If I omit the path, ad write the command a2ensite wiki I have no error.

But, on my browser, if I type localhost/wiki I do not receive any
answer from the web server.

can someone help me to solve this prob? it's some days that I'm
struggling with it (and I lose every time :-( )

TIA

[Moin-user] ready to go!

2014-02-21 Thread Renato
Hi,
Now (thank to Davide) now, I'm ready to go! My moinmoin it's up.
Next step is to start with rst. I think I have docutil installed.

I'm wondering how can I start to produce correct rst fle. I read the doc
on moinmin web, but I do not understand.

Can someone lead me to some useful doc?

TIA

[Moin-user] render as Rst one step ahead (maybe...)

2014-02-21 Thread Renato
ok, From this page
http://www.merten-home.de/FreeSoftware/moin2rst/manual.html#installation,
I've found the doc and the file to use, to obtain rst.

- I've downloaded it
- extracted
- putted on .../plugin/action and formatter folder
- restarted apache2
- login to my wiki
- create a page
- went to action menu
but no action render as restructured text found :-(

the Renderasrestructuredtext.py has root:root right. Could it be this
the prob?

TIA

[Moin-user] still prob with docutil

2014-02-22 Thread Renato

Hi,
I'm getting crazy :-(

In a moinmoin page that speaks about rest, I read this:

This is a *very* simple example. If you see two asterisks around the
word very in the previous sentence, then the module docutils is
improperly installed (or not installed at all). When the module
docutils is there, the word is displayed in italics and this whole
block of text is not displayed in a special source-code-like format,
but like a normal part of the page

I see the two asterisks, so, maybe the docuils module is installed
improperly.

I think Docutil are present in my pc.
I'm wondering if I need to config moinmoin to let him know, where
Docutil are.

Can someone help me?

TIA

[Moin-user] sphinx and moinmoin (2)

2016-04-18 Thread renato
I try to make a summary, of what I've understand about sphinx and
moinmoin.

- I could use moinmoin to make a collaborative docs (I use .rst)
- then I could use sphinx to translate this doc on various format
(latex, html and other)

I found very useful the gadget on sphinx (and also in moin2) that let
me translate the original .rst doc in the other format.
Is it usable alone on the moinmoin2 wiki?
Or I have to transfer the .rst on sphinx?

I hope I was understood.

TIA

Updating to mod_wsgi 2.5 seems to have fixed it (need some more testing)

Maybe someone more acquainted with the MoinMoin procedures should add
a warning note to HelpOnInstalling/ApacheWithModWSGI about it (it's
read only, I can't find it on master19). On the other hand, there is
also HowTo/ApacheWithModWSGI, with pratically the same contents.
 Should these be merged?

[Moin-user] how to start

2012-09-18 Thread Renato Pontefice
Hi,
I'm starting using moinmoin. But I stopped at the first step.
- I downloaded a standalon installation
- started moinmin (from the shell. I work on Debian Linux)
- from my browser accessed the localhost:8080 addr
- create an account (my name)

Now I would assume the superuser privilege to install language package and
so on. But I'm stopped. I can't find doc that explain me which steps do I
have to accomplish.
The doc that I've found speack about some file, that I can' find. Or entry
in a file that I can't find.
I'm desolated :-(

Can someone show me a very basic guide to start wth?
I would start with the standalone version. For now, no server version.

Thank you

So have you some good (free) editor to edit the DocBook exported from moin moin?

mh...ingenious...;-)
ok, is much simpler than I expected. I started!
Now, I've new prob (not be solved with the way you told me before...)

I would like to work with restructuredtext.
I mean:
- is there an editor to work with (inside moinmoin) that coul simplify the
way I work with?
- how can I export a page in restructured text?

Do I have to install somethings...?

My Idea is to produce doc in moinmoin, then export in rst and work with the
.rst file with sphinx,

TIA

Renato

2014-02-11 17:40 GMT+01:00 Kai Jaeger k...@aplteam.com:

 Renato,

the strategy to solve this problem is pretty general:

 1. Google for MoinMoin

 2. Click the top link

 3. Press Ctrl+F

 4. Enter Documentation

 5. Click the link.

 There we go.

I ran the moin server with that instrucion:
./m run --host 10.132.0.3 --port 8080

where: 10.132.0.3 is the internal IP addr for my VM.
externaly I reach it by 104.155.16.89, i thought that there were some included
routing rule.

Ok, Now, I just have to became able to work with it :-)

Thank to all

[Moin-user] port number prob?

2016-05-31 Thread Renato Pontefice
Hi,
I think that my prob could be about port number:
If I try to access my moin2 wiki from an external browser, I do not receive
answer from the server.
I've tried - from inside the VM - the following command, that, I think,
explain the following:
- the VM, answer to a ping with the external addr
- does not answer neither at port 8081 nor port 8080.

Could it be a prob of web server?

TIA

[Moin-user] How to change from TJ 3.6 to TJ 3.5

2016-05-13 Thread Renato Pontefice
I would downgrade, from TJ 3.6 to TJ 3.5.
Just to understand if my prom is about the ver 3.6 or something else.
Do I have to remove 3.6 before installing 3.5?
If so, How can I do that?

I've tried to install 3.5 gem, but I obtain the following error:

renato_pontefice@rubystack-2-vm:~/taskjuggelr/bin$ gem 'taskjuggler', '~>
3.5'
ERROR: While executing gem ... (Gem::CommandLineError)
Unknown command taskjuggler,

So, I've thought to remove the 3.6 version before, also if this error
doesn't seem to be related...
