But seriously,
seriously, folks, I'm not sure what's worse - four more years of W, or

Hey Phil:
I don't think you can blame the Bugs makeover to appeasing the Neo-Con
generation...although it is true that the Wall St. Journal (WSJ) broke the
story...and it is true
I couldn't agree with you more, Kirby. WB get a f'n

If Warner Bros. wants to come out with a new character like Bugs or a take
off of Bugs that's one thing, but to change him is devastating. Bugs not
only died with Chuck Jones, but also with Mel Blanc.
As far as the kids only like the new stuff...I have to agree with Nathalie!

The simple fact is the Hollywood studios will use the property in their catalogs anyway they want, anytime they want to make a buck. That's why we have all the remakes (War Of The World, Texas Chainsaw Massacre), it's property paid for. Just change it a little and slap it back on the screen or

I can't say I am at all surprised at Warner's.

I agree with you. I put a want list for Hitchcock half sheets and

Kirby responded with a item and a price. The others did not bother.

The only time I as a dealer post a want is if I have an immediate customer.

I agree that the "original" Looney Tunes characters are so much of a
different era that they simply don't appeal to most young people today. However,
that does NOT mean that Warner's should try to "update" them -- this is sloppy
corporate thinking from the non-creative, overpaid brainless
I'm sure you must be frustrated. I can remember your want list (which
hasn't changed barely at all) from years ago.
I've had some very good results with WTB emails on Mopo. Every time I
post one, I usually get a few of the items I'm looking for (and they're usually
not very easy to find).
Hi,
I know this is a longshot, but if anyone out there has the bottom section from an original US 3 Sheet on The Searchers, please contact me. By the way, I'm also looking for an original US 6 Sheet on THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (even a bigger longshot!)
Hope all is well with everyone,
Rick

They're are not so much dumb as they are young. Some studio execs literally do not know who many Looney Tunes characters ARE. And I don't agree, Bugs et al do appeal to kids, funny is funny.
Years ago, I remember pitching a script to a studio executive who was clearly under 30. I mentioned the

I fear that the WB will inject a healthy dose of hip-hop influence along with

seem hell bent on continuing the trend. I doubt the new Bugs will

What dreams are made of indeed.
I've read before that there was more than one Black Bird created for the
film. In fact when THE BLACK BIRD (the George Segal movie) was released, one
of the promo stories was that the one created for the new film was moulded
from one of the originals used in
I love The Maltese Falcon and that story. Wish I could
