the Belgian posters for this time period are just better than the
Argentine posters are - in general - and are more highly thought of as a result
the Belgians almost never have the same art as the US posters and the
Argentine posters frequently do have similar art to the US posters

Well, the original paper for THE MALTESE FALCON features art of Humphrey Bogart
in his HIGH SIERRA character, not as Sam Spade...but it doesn't seem to hurt
the desirability of the posters. I personally don't care to see art from
another movie on the MALTESE FALCON poster, but I would kill to
Alan,
Absolutely. There may be one of two exceptions where I would buy the
poster if the character art did not match up fairly well with the film,
but I can't think of any just now. On the other hand, when it comes to
all those great monster and sf films from the 1950's, you usually don't
Michael,
Well, since you asked, I prefer the '66 one sheet simply because the
artwork and title fill up a large part of the poster. On all the others,
including your very nice half sheet, the artwork is small compared to
the vast extent of the red background, which takes up most of the square
Best poster in English for FANTASTIC VOYAGE is the British quad.
The Fox promotional book on the film also has some interesting artwork
that might have made for a more interesting poster, although I do rather like
the
red style which was also used in Australia for the one sheet and daybill.

Michael,
Well, since you
Phil is correct that the quad is the best poster on this title
the advance that Dave has is the best theatrical US poster and there
is that really hot Raquel special poster
for reason I'm thinking there was another special US poster with
great art as well

Congratulations, Rich! Well done, keep up the good work and all

want any more competition but if you must keep the doors open, you
must...

hi james..in terms of the poster being far better visual art than the film..one comes to mind right away..the beast with 1,000,000 eyesi always liked this poster..i obtained the 1/2 sheet but had never seen the movie...what a surprise when i finally saw it (i guess spielberg borrowed the idea
Great but needs paper backing and restoration. Somewhat fragile. Great
image, though.
