a reissue three sheet for SAN FRANCISCO (1936) which was reissued in
1948. The three sheet was in color, the art was in the same style as the
original,
but the fonts were not. It also said MGM MASTERPIECE REPRINT on the poster.
Crop looks a bit tight, wonder if it's trimmed.

incorrectly identified it). If you check the printer info on your poster
against the chart on the LAMP site, you can know for certain, because the
printer info from 1966 is not the same as that from the early 1970s.

Rick, Bruce, et al,Rick, yes Bruce is correct yours is the 1970's re-release. However, the one that Heritage, lot # 85336, sold for $776 is the original release. The easiest way to tell is from the City where the poster was printed which is written on the left edge in black. Original release is

The 'scratch' to me looks like a tear, as the tape on the reverse corresponds
exactly with the location of the 'scratch'.
This tear possibly looks butt ugly as the tape might be showing through from

This poster will end up with a bunch of paint of the front of the tear if
the new owner wants to show no trace of it, and the only way to address the

Mopo'ers,
From the same seller that auctioned THE ADVENTURER OS over the weekend, here
is another. This time, for EASY STREET. Amazing color with a large image of a
grinning Chaplin. It's nice to see beautiful stone lithos come to light.
