Deanna Durbin, who starred in 21 films (and 1 short) in the 1930's and
1940's, has died at age 91. Two of her most memorable: MGM's Every
Sunday, (1936) an 11 minute short featuring a sing-off with Judy Garland
and Universal's Christmas Holiday, (1944) with Gene Kelly. A link to her

Kirk Douglas is not quite of the same era career-wise, but in age he's right
up there with the rest of them.

Here's a helpful list of 30s/40s stars who are still around (although it's 2
years old so a few of these people have now left us). It cheers me that Louis
Jourdan is still amongst us. Mickey Rooney, of course, was making films back in
the 20s!

Dear MoPo,
THE VIKING QUEEN: We¹re after the British quad poster for this 1967 Hammer

No U.S. material, I¹m afraid.
If anyone has this quad, do get in contact.

Have any of the dealers on this board opted into Ebay's Global Shipping

Hi Franc,
Personally I wouldn't let a third party handle my valuable collectibles. I'd
rather keep things in my control. The international shipping costs
skyrocketed this year from the U.S. as well. My feeling is that we have no
control of this. It's the way it must be from now on and buyers will
I agree with Irv 100%. I can't think of anything more disconcerting than
letting ebay or any ebay associated entity handle my shipping needs. UGH.

I no longer buy from sellers who use Global Shipping unless the item is of a
higher value. The reason is eBay charges Canadian tax and handling on every
single package they ship, which can double or even triple the cost of
shipping, depending on the price of the item. On the other hand, if the
Many US online retailers use Bongo International as third-party shipper for
international sales these days. I can't say anything about the ebay program,
but Bongo seems extremely expensive. I have never used them and I doubt that I
ever will.

Hello Everyone,
I am currently looking for a poster for a pretty obscure title, Zombies on
Broadway. I am interested in either a one sheet, half sheet or window card.
Please let me know if you have a copy with condition and price. Thank you for

Franc, you indicate that you normally ship internationally via First Class
USPS insured mail. I wish I could ship that way from Arizona. It's my
understanding that insurance is NOT an available option when shipping
International First Class.

Another star who is still with us is Olivia de Havilland. I saw her make a
surprise appearance at an AMPAS tribute to Bette Davis a few years ago. She
did NOT look frail at all, walking without assistance of any kind, still
possessing a sharp memory about the golden years of Hollywood.
Yes, that's right: HOLD ON.

Just wondering what others in here have preferred. I’ve got a couple of the
Alan Wilkie custom albums, one of the nice ones Larry Reed used to offer, as
well as the popular Lion File-N-View Art Presentation Folios (#38020). It
seems that none of these can easily be found anymore, and
I would not use that service. It would add to the cost and seems like another
link in chain of things that could go wrong. I also think it must take longer
for buyers to receive the item.

Hey Keith,
I have used the Itoya portfolios for many years as well as many of my

and can be purchased thorugh the internet. I think I pay under $15 per unit and

I agree. Can't beat Itoya for value.
The 3 ring binders from Bags Unlimited are very good quality, they have the
obvious advantage of the 3 ring, but are very expensive.
Larry Reed's albums were great but I don't know if he's still in the biz.
