that I have linen-backed posters that
I have had for 15 years easily that do not exhibit these problems.
It’s also good to remember that all collectors do not have the mandate of an
archivist - as a museum

aggregate number, which one do you think has ruined by posters:
a) Rain, bad plumbing, floods, water main bursts,
over-flowing bathrooms, fire, hurricanes, tsunamis, atomic explosions
b) Chris Cloutier at Posterfix

I also have posters that were linen backed 20 years ago and they are fine.
All have been stored in the same place as the ones that have foxing. That's
why I am convinced that the backer did not mix the paste properly.

I don't want to name the restorer because I can't be absolutely certain of
what caused the foxing. In any case, he does not advertise his services any
more so I doubt anyone would find him now.
