be there when the dealers 1st open up, but I also want a shopping day in
Hollywood beforehand. I'll go home as late as possible
The erratic Mr. Spielberg (but my favorite legendary living director, next
to Scorcese and Ridley Scott) -- has come up aces with War of the Worlds.
Saw it last night and more than anything (since once again, Oscar-caliber
acting is not suited for this genre) -- the man who brought you Jaws,
looking for the US One Sheet only. If you have this, please quote price and condition. JPG very helpful.
Also One Sheet of Preston Foster in Corruption.

I wondered what ever became of legendary Cinecon creator Sam Rubin. He must
have passed on by now. Anyone know how long ago that was?
Thanks!

Saw the movie last nightmy thoughts...before talking about this movie
in particular...It is difficult to be a baby boomer and watch all the
recent remakes coming out of hollywood that emphasize directors and
special effects and not the actors in the film. Ms. Swanson was right on
the mark.
David, Edu, and fellow MOPOs,
I have seen last night and I TELL YOU that the acting is B-movie quality.
The end is sooo mainstream Hollywood, so bring. There are some
great action scenes but nothing new. Tim was the best acting performance but
Cruise was a complete

I just did this today for the first time ever and - no - it wasn't

My favorite film so far this year: CRASH, undoubtedly.

Philipp,
I agree with the spirit of your observation about how much
time, money and talent is wasted on the empty-calorie blockbuster movies made
for the "popcorn American culture" -- butI have to point out that these
same films usually do as well (or even better) at the box-office in
