It's a few days late but well worth the wait!
My daughter, who's currently living in France, sent me this Father's Day card
today. It plays off my love of movie posters, sci-fi B-movies and robots. I
know I'm probably just being a proud father but I think it's awesome and
thought folks here
Pretty awesome, Dave. Is your daughter a graphic designer?

As a frustrated graphic artiste, I am really impressed by your

You have a very talented daughter.
Ain't it cool when a parent actually sees the positive effects of their
influence?
That card is priceless.

She's an all-round artist/designer/cartoonist. She designs and prints books and
posters. Screen printing is one of her specialties but her line art, like that
on this card, is incredible.

She is awesome. For the past six months she's been living in Marseille, turning
out posters and books, living on cigarettes, cafe au lait and trips out into
the Provencal countryside to draw and paint. She's my hero (except for the
smoking part).

Thanks for the kind words, Ted. I'd certainly like to think it was partly the
effect of my influence, but really it's all her. Though I suppose it didn't
hurt her to grow up in a house where drawing, reading and goofing on old pop
culture were the order of the day.
