Hi all,
I am still beginner in using geometric morphometric and currently I tried to
perform general procrustes analysis on the scaled aligned nts file however I
got this error (centroid size is smaller than 1.0e-10), Could you help me with
that?
here below is 1st part of the NTS file,
Thank
an upload your data file in an open-format =
(think csv or tab-separated, not excel/word formats) somewhere on the cloud=
and attach a link to your post. That way, anyone inclined to answer can ta=
ke a quick look and comment on what the issue is.
Best,
M

Hello,
I am trying to create a box plot of centroid size for my specimens,
however, the plot doesn't look right when I make it. Any suggestions? I am
trying to create it for each scissor type that I used in my project. I
saved the centroid size data from the tpsRelw software and imported it
size.

Hi all,
I am encountering a strange pattern in my data and I'm not sure if it is a
problem with how i am collecting the landmarks or it's actually just a
strange but correct pattern.
I work with an ontogenetic series of baleen whale skulls. The skulls of the
fetal specimens are very small
Hey all,
So I have a question regarding using centroid size in analyses of scaling.
I want to test how something scales with increasing body size in a 3D GM
context. If I use centroid size, gained from 3D landmarks, as a measure of
the size of my object and skull length as a measure of body
Dear Blake,
In short, isometry, positive allometry and negative allometry cannot be
studied using multivariate regressions of multivariate data (such as
geometric morphometric coordinate data). These are concepts that only exist
in bivariate plots of size and a single variable.

Hello,
I am using 2D GM to examine skull shape and size in rodents. I used Sage
to calculate centroid size based on a millimeter ruler in my photos. What
are the units of centroid size? mm^2? Thanks.
