These warblers are quite frequently heard (and seen) in the appropriate
habitat: well described in Kim Eckert's book. Over the weekend, had 2
singing in Tettegouche Park (Friday, May 22), from the back off Lax Lake
Road, Lake County. Also, 3 on Oberg Mountain, Cook County (Saturday,
May 23).
Spent the day yesterday birding Cass with Molly Malecek, Larry Olson, and Dale
Yerger. Many Tennessee and Blackpoll Warblers still moving through the area,
along with smaller numbers of other migrant songbirds. Of note were 5 American
Avocets at the Cass Lake Sewer Ponds (also seen earlier in

I stopped by Purgatory Creek, Eden Prairie (Hennepin Co.) yesterday (Tuesday)

Returned today, only had time for a short late lunch walk at Pioneer Park

Well I looked at my Bluebird nest boxes(actually Gilbertson's) and so far
there are two eggs.. My BCCH are busy feeding the chicks still and I see
one of the Robin busy collecting nesting material.. I also had a Pine
Siskin at the feeder this morning..
