There was a little more variety at Carver Park this morning with Willow and
Alder flycatchers arriving(7 flycatcher species total). Some totals today
~125 Double-crested Cormorant-several flocks migrating north
7 Green Heron-I believe these were arriving this morning. 3 flew low

A morning walk behind my sisters house provided us with 35 sp including 11
warblers. Magnolias, mournings, 1 singing Golden Wing (my highlight),
blackburnians, Many Canadas to name a few. One unidentified song has got me
curiouser and curiouser.

After my last posting I went back to Carver Park to quickly check a couple
areas in better light. To my surprise I found another male Cerulean Warbler
away from his normal territory. He was along the tamarack trail at the
southeast end of the bog (along the grassy trail, not the boardwalk).
I was reminded that there was no location on my post earlier so sorry. Two
more Warblers today besides what was listed earlier. Its a Grand day Out!

This afternoon a Ruddy Turnstone and Black-bellied Plover were among the
shorebirds present at White Bear Lake (Ramsey Co. side). They were on the spit
and surrounding area at Lake Ave. and Stewart Ave.

There is a breeding plumaged White-faced Ibis on Perch Lake in southern Blue
Earth County. The bird is visible from the south end of the lake along Lakewood
Rd. There is also a flock of about 300 small shorebirds at this location.

At Hwy. 59 and Elmore, we saw a hen Hooded Merganser and 6 young . This is
