There was 1 Common Moorhen visible about 7:39 this morning. I could not
relocate any Cattle Egrets at the previous locations, they are quickly drying
up.

Sunday afternoon I took a walk around the bass ponds at MN valley NWR
and saw a single black tern mixed in with a large flock of swallows
skimming over the water

I visited Jackson and Cottonwood Counties over the weekend. There were a
few flooded fields. One just SE of Mt. Lake and another SE of Heron Lake.
There were several species of shorebirds in each. More on Friday, fewer
on Sunday, after the storm on Saturday night. Among other species we
Saturday, Cerulean Warbler, Kathio State Park, singing along the main road
about 1/2 mile north of the trail road intersection. County bird.
