I went to Frontenac State Park and Old Frontenac birding today. I was surprised at the few warblers. Too early? But had a great day. Saw FOYs Baltimore Oriole, Orchard Oriole, Palm Warbler, Swamp Sparrow, Harris's Sparrow, Rose Breasted Grosbeak, Tennessee Warbler, Cliff Swallow, and Ovenbird.

Today I didn't get to have binoculars but woke up to a FOY House Wren in the backyard being chased away by a Bluebird. I went for a brief walk at Purgatory Creek in Eden Prairie and saw a Palm Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler The highlight and biggest surprise of all was hearing a Sedge Wren singin

As I walked out the door this morning, I was greeted by a singing Tennessee Warbler. Second best bird of the day was a pair of Sand Hill Cranes on the lawn of the Hospital in Princeton. I was all set to check out the sewerage ponds there, when work call me back as fast as possible to the cities.
